Hugh and Maura: Your Proud Parents

Dear Andrew we are so proud of you. Your tenacity and courage in the face of so many challenges while you were in so much pain for most of the trip was amazing. To complete the trip would be a major achievement for an experienced cyclist but much, much more for a man who had very little background as a cyclist. (Your trip worried us no end, particularly following your accident on the Clonee bypass when you lost five years memory when suffering the concussion, also the broken arm.) The caring both Hugh and yourself have shown for people less fortunate than yourselves makes us very, very proud of you both.(By the way forget about Everest for the moment!!!)
